Meet Lori

Lori Nelson is a Licensed Therapist Supervisor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, as well as a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. She has a graduate degree in Professional School Counseling from Clemson University. She worked as a school counselor for thirteen years serving students and families in the Greenville community.

Lori specializes in supporting school-aged and adolescent children struggling to cope with anxiety, depression, recovery from traumatic experiences, and those who are exhibiting behavioral challenges at home and school.

As a registered play therapist, play and expressive arts interventions are foundational to her provision of treatment. Her approaches include child/person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and traditional talk therapy.

Lori also provides supervision for therapists working towards their licensure.
